EOA EMAIL MAGAZINE
Volume 24     Date: 30 May 2015
Dear Friends,

Heartfelt Greetings!

My sincere apologies for being late.  No excuses, just was not able to allocate some time.   Anyway, happy to be back, and to be in touch with you all.

In relation to our quest for “knowledge”, in this issue, I want to discuss about “updating” knowledge.

Although we all know things change every time so do our business environment.  Only an updated knowledge – and NOT a mere knowledge that will help us to stay competitive in this business.

What is update? According to dictionary:
“To alter OR to inform (someone) with the latest information”
For example:
  • Information that updates something or someone.
  • The act or an instance of bringing something or someone up to date.
  • An updated version of something.

Now let us apply this concept to our business.  One of the common views I read in the internet is
“The more updated knowledge you have about your product, the better chance of success you have in the long run winning customer confidence”.   In other words, if you do not update, you do not have any knowledge, as obsolete information is no use now, and need to apply latest information.

Do you agree with the above?  Do you think the updating on knowledge about the products or services that are related to our business is crucial for success?

Why not make a contribution to the email magazine by sharing your thoughts?

Eagerly waiting to hear from you,

Sincerely,
Venkateswaran

Migration News

Visa fee increase for Australia from July 2015:

Since July 2015, the visa application charges (VAC) will be increased for Australia.

·       A price increase in line with inflation (2.3 per cent) to specific visas within the Permanent Migration Skill Stream, Skilled Graduate, Temporary Long Stay Business (Subclass 457), Visitor and Student visa streams.

·       A 5 per cent price increase to specific visas within the Temporary Resident Short Term Business and Entertainment visas, Working Holiday visas, Resident Return and Retirement Investor visas, and Contributory Parent visa streams.

·       A 10 per cent price increase on specific visas within the Other Family (Remaining Relative, Carer and Aged Dependent Relative) visas, and (non-contributory) Parent visa streams where the underlying demand is not expected to be impacted by the price increase.

Exempt Immigration Agents:

There is a recommended proposal which is likely to be finalized by the Australian immigration is that Australian lawyers be removed from the regulatory scheme that governs migration agents.
This could come to effect by the end of this year and accordingly: Australian lawyers will no longer be required to be registered as RMA to provide immigration advice.  Therefore lawyers will be treated as “Exempt immigration agents”.
